- High quality image or rare bird about which little is know (hence the stub article). FP on Commons. This was Red List classified Near Threatened until 2019. It is hard to understand why the classification was changed.

- Support. Charles, the criteria that led to the Red List classification change are set out in the 2019 report, including a relatively large range and an apparently stable population. Because the reported range has expanded significantly with more northerly records in Colombia, and because the species has turned out to be pretty easy to find and photograph in the right habitat once people started actively looking for it, I think the general consensus is that there are a lot more of them out there than one might have guessed from the fact that the first modern record was in 1971. Hence the progressive downgrading over the years from Vulnerable to Near Threatened to Least Concern (although I gather that not everyone agrees with the assessment).
