After being absent from FLC for the better part of a year, I suddenly return with two nominations in a month... Must be WikiCup season. And, I also realized that there haven't been any new FLs for WP:DOH in two years, so I decided to rectify that. Anyway, it's modeled after the exisiting Simpsons season FLs (particularily The Simpsons (season 14)) and, of course, all concerns and comments will be addressed by yours truly. - I think the lead is appropriate, it summarizes the article and doesn't need to be gigantic. As for a critical reception section, why exactly is one needed? Out of all of the other Simpsons FLs, only one (season 3) has a reception section, and even then, it's quite small and only cites a few articles. I've never been a fan of having reception sections for seasons, because more often than not, they consist of extremely broad remarks, and a few comments on the top episodes. I feel that in many they are simply used as a crutch to lengthen articles and don't really add a whole lot. -- Scorpion0422 II (Talk) 03:59, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Standards have changed since 2009 (Season 14) and 2008 (Season 3), a recent FL such as 30 Rock (season 4) is a good example of what season articles are these days, even though The Simpsons is known to pretty much everyone I do see a problem in the lead nothing is said about what the show is about, that'd be one point to improving the lead. Well, other than the plot information, the lead for this article contains pretty much everything in the 30 Rock lead. The episodes are all self-contained, and there is no connectivity between episodes, at least none that can be summed up in the lead. Caption for infobox image doesn't need a full stop.

Again, with all these season articles, a lot of mix and match on formatting, e.g. the caption says "Season 13" while the title says "season 13", infobox header says "... Season 13" ....

"executive produced" hyphenate.

"The Simpsons is about a working..." maybe be more specific - The Simpsons is a serialised animation about...? (not great but you get my meaning?)

Where are the awards in the lead referenced?
- In the awards section. Thanks for the note though, reading through it, I realized that I didn't mention the Annie Award in the lead.

Production: "He left the show following the 12 season". The number is missing "th".
- Fixed.
Awards: Check the capitalization of the Outstanding Animated Program Emmy. There's a couple inconsistencies from our article on the award.
- As far as I know, that's how it should be capitalized.
"Three episodes were nominated for Writers Guild of America Award...". Feels like "the" is missing, or an s at the end.
- Fixed.
Episode 14: Contraction ("that's") needs fixing.
- Fixed.
Episode 19: Bit of repetition here: "and decides to file for divorce, but decides that she misses him."
- Fixed.
Episode 20: "She that the college atmosphere is perfect for her".
- Fixed.
