  • At just three sentences, the lead is far too short. Conversely the history section is probably too detailed. You don't need to describe literally every winner in prose form - The third recipient of the award was Christian Vieri, who scored the second-most goals for Lazio in the 1998–99 Serie A season and The fourth edition was won by Francesco Totti who scored the third-most goals that season for Roma, is pretty trivial stuff , IMO.... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 18:46, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Further comments
  • "The next two recipients of the award were won by" - either "The next two recipients of the award were" or "The next two awards were won by", but not what you currently have
  • "In the 2007–08 season, Ibrahimović scored the joint fourth-most goals" - don't think this is significant
  • "The 2009–10 season, Ibrahimović left Inter Milan" => Before/during/after (whichever is appropriate) the 2009-10 season
  • "as Inter Milan would win the league again" => "as Inter Milan won the league again"
  • "In his debut season, he scored the fourth-most goals in the league" - again, don't think this is noteworthy
  • The player column in the table should sort based on surname, not forename
  • Refs within a cell should be in numerical order, this is not the case on every row
  • "Zlatan Ibrahimović has the most awards won, with three awards total (jointly)." => "Zlatan Ibrahimović has the most awards won (jointly), with three awards total." (putting "jointly" at the end makes it sound like he won each award jointly with another player
  • juventus.com is italicised in ref 48 but not in ref 44, and in ref 19 it shows "Juventus Football Club", which is different again - be consistent
  • Linking of publishers/works in the refs is inconsistent. Il Corriere della Sera and Corriere dello Sport are linked, but other newspapers are not.

Soccerway.com has been discussed as generally reliable at WT:FOOTY. Football Italia is also widely used for English language Italian football news and have never encountered issues being raised about its reliability. juventus.com is not a secondary source, but primary sources are still permitted where necessary. Replaced "storiedicalcio.altervista.org". The specific "IlSussidiario.net" article cites a magazine published by the Italian Footballers' Association. The specific "tuttojuve.com" article cites a Sports Illustrated article, and seems to have a proper staff anyway. "Football Database.eu" is not on Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Links, but there has been talk of it several times with no consensus. This website is currently citing the appearance and goalscoring stats in the table, which is not a must, so we can just remove it if this source really is a big issue.
