I am nominating this for featured list because... I've spent a long time inputting all the songs that Emeli Sandé has written. I believe it demonstrates how she not only writes material for herself, but also for others as a featured artist and for other artists in general. It shows how Emeli Sandé is a true singer-songwriter and she has written just as many songs for others as she has herself. I believe it meets the criteria, and I have drawn upon ideas and constructive criticisms from previous FLCs of mine in order to create this list. BMI Repertoire uses the standard surname chronological order. Hence if you search SANDE EMELI under songwriter it pulls up all those results. It feels wrong to promote a list to FL on the basis its about an artist's songwriting contributions, yet the only songs included are ones already released and the material from the introduction seems re-hashed from other articles. — Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 16:52, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comments Hmm, tricky one... Obviously it's unfortunate that half the rows have N/A and Unknown cells – it makes the list look really incomplete. Made a couple of changes here – please revert if you disagree with them.
  • Per WP:OVERLINK, major countries such as France need not be wikilinked.

  • Might be worth including somewhere in the lead that Simon Cowell described Sandé as one of his "favourite songwriters" [2] — it'd provide a bit more context on how her songwriting is viewed within the industry.

    Fair question. It can also be sourced from The Telegraph or the Digital Spy interview that you cite in this article (reference 3).

  • OVoE should probably be listed first for the songs that featured on two albums.

    Hmm, good point... I'll leave it with you then. Personally, I think there's merit in listing OVoE first, as it would group the songs with the other tracks on the album when the table is sorted. But it's up to you.

  • This source states that Sandé has written at least one song for Cher Lloyd - any idea what it might've been?

  • "Read All About It (Part III)" needs to be above "Read All About It" when the list first loads.
    Why?  — AARON • TALK
    If you sort the table by title, "Read All About It (Part III)" moves above "Read All About It".

    Either part 3 needs to be above when the page first loads, or else it needs to be below part 1 when the table is sorted by title (e.g. through use of the Sort template).

  • Made a few extra edits here – please revert if you don't like the changes.
  • "The song was conceptualised when ..., and stated that it was written very quickly" Okay, so I'm being a complete grammar prude here, but there's a slight problem with this sentence. In its current form, it sounds as if it's the song that is stating something, although obviously that's not the case. I'd suggest rewording it slightly.

  • "Sandé worked with..." -> "She worked..."
  • "of the songs on Our Version of Events" -> "of the songs on the album"
  • Pretty much all bar the last sentence of the first para in the lead focuses on Sande and Naughty Boy. This is not a good "summary" of the whole list.
    But pretty all the songs were done with Naughty Boy only, so it's hard to get around that. I do mention 4/5 other writers too.  — AARON • TALK 13:20, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    That's simply not true. She performed a few of the songs with Naughty Boy, Shahid Khan wrote most of the songs with her. Now unless you tell the reader that Naughty Boy and Shahid Khan are one and the same, the lead seems very heavily biased... The Rambling Man (talk) 10:38, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    Well it is true. Naughty Boy, who is Shahid Khan, co-wrote 11 of the songs, so yes she did mainly worked with him on the album. I don't know how it is being bias?? It's fact.   • "that have been included on their respective albums" what's the purpose of the word "respective" when there's nothing to respect?
    Lol, it's not about respecting. It's just a term used in music articles, that's how we phrase it. It's a way of saying on the other singer's album more succinctly.  — AARON • TALK 13:20, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Abide With Me is referred to as Abide with Me on Wikipedia.
  • Who is "Traditional" when it comes to Writers? Perhaps a note rather than have "Traditional" listed as a writer.
