Back with an annual Draft list, modeled after the previous year's list with a few changes. Other than probably grammar or some type of prose problems that come up every year, I feel that this list satisfies the FL criteria. Truco 503 02:48, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Numerous prose problems, but mainly... where's the notability? I don't see a single source connected unconnected with WWE, or anything to indicate this is important in any way at all, and not just a non-notable episode of a TV show. Courcelles 23:17, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • "two of the draft picks consisted of the same wrestler, John Cena—being selected to SmackDown with the first pick and back to Raw with the last." Yet the list indicates that Sheamus was the last selection. One example out of at least a dozen before I stopped reading. And I was trying to give you the courtesy of time to find independent refs before I sent this straight to AFD. As it stands, if there's not actual coverage from independent sources, not only should this not be featured, it shouldn't even be an article. Courcelles 01:20, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Comment okay, there is an issue with notability that must be resolved. All references are WWE or Tweets from WWE employees (which presumably are as fictional as the WWE in any case). Oppose – With the addition of a few secondary sources, I'm at least convinced that the draft is notable enough for an article. However, meeting notability standards isn't the same as meeting FL standards, and I think the list could use more work. I picked up on quite a lot of little faults when going through the page, which leave me unconvinced that it's ready.
  • I'd think WWE should be spelled out at the start, just like for any major sports organization.
  • WWE underwent a name change to shorten their full name to simply WWE, the same way that Kentucky Fried Chicken did with their name to simply KFC. So no need for the spelling out of the name.--Truco 503 03:40, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • En dash in "on–air" should be a regular old hyphen.
  • About that sentence Courcelles didn't like; I would make the sentence like the following: "two of the draft picks consisted of the same wrestler—John Cena—being selected to SmackDown with the first pick and back to Raw with the last televised pick."
  • Background: Superstars and Divas are capitalized here, but not in the lead. Be consistent with them.
  • Also see inconsistencies as to whether SmackDown has an exclamation point or not.
  • "Like all other WWE programs, the Draft was ran by the WWE management backstage." "ran" → "run".
  • Another faulty dash in "inter–brand" that should be a hyphen.
  • Roster selections: "Alberto Del Rio's personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, who came to Raw in the televised draft with Del Rio in one draft pick." Need to remove "who" for the sentence as a whole to work, or change the part before this to "Only one of the draftees was not an in-ring competitor".
  • The facts about the first to be drafted twice in an event and wrestlers who switched brands for the first time need citations.
  • Televised draft: "to determine who would receive one or two draft pick." Last word should be plural.
  • WWE Superstars should be italicized if it's a television program.
  • Online draft: Jimmy Uso, JTG, and Sheamus don't appear to be sorting in the right order.
  • Response and aftermath: This says Cena was the last pick, which was apparently only true for the televised portion. Similar to an issue raised before.
  • I've never liked seeing "whilst" in articles; it always looks stuffy and over-formal. Do me a favor and switch it to a simpler "while" as you're handling some of this other stuff.
  • WWE needs to be spelled out in numerous references as the publisher. Oddly, some already are spelled out.
  • All caps should be taken out of reference 3.
  • Publisher of reference 22 should be italicized since it's a newspaper.
  • Reference 1 and the external link appear to be the same. In that case, you don't have to repeat the link as an EL.
  • Last, but not least, are we comfortable using Twitter as a source? The social networking sites as a group aren't the greatest in the world for encyclopedia purposes, and they don't seem to be adding much to the section they're in anyway.
