This article is about Open Finance, an emerging trend in the financial industry with the potential to reshape how people access and manage their finances. It contributes to the encyclopedia by providing a comprehensive, neutral, and well-sourced overview of this important topic, including its history, benefits, risks, and global implications. Readers will gain a deeper understanding of how Open Finance empowers consumers with greater control over their financial data and promotes innovation in financial services. Oppose and suggest withdrawal - This article was quickfailed at GAN in July. Some changes have been made in the meanwhile, but there has not been a second GAN review, and some unreferenced statements remain. The sourcing is very hit or miss - some sources appear to be reliable financial journals, some are reports from reputable agencies or newspapers, but there's some confusing inclusions. "TrueLayer Blog", "Tech UK", "Accenture Banking Blog"? Sources cited to SSRN (a preprint database, not its own source!) or the UK Archives (not the actual page archived). There's a list of how its implemented around the world, but what countries are included seems a bit arbitrary (and this generally trends towards unnecessary country-by-country breakdowns).

This is a shame; we definitely need more economics FAs, but this needs a good GAN review and likely a peer review from an experienced editor in the field before coming back here. Generalissima (talk) (it/she) 01:52, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest withdrawal and consider seeking mentorship and/or peer review. In addition to the sourcing issues noted by Generalissima, the article has some neutrality issues, adopting some of the language of industry publications like "unlock the full potential of open finance" or "foster innovation and competition within the financial sector". @FAC coordinators: it appears that this has been withdrawn. Nikkimaria (talk) 04:25, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
