I'm renominating this article for featured article after it passed GA review and because it was lauded after several editors completed two peer reviews. • Freechild'sup? 04:19, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comments -
Current ref 5 is a bare url. Needs a formatted link title and publisher and last access date at the least.
- What makes the following reliable sources?
- Removed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I note the number of links to google books searches in the references. I'm hoping that the actual books have been consulted, not just searched on google books. Reading more than a google searched snippet gives the full context to the information.
- Done. All major texts have been referred to in print, not only via Google Reader. Links to GR added per previous Good Article review suggestion. • Freechild'sup? 16:37, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Current ref 52 (Wishart..) needs a page number or article title.
Current ref 61 (Bednarek..) needs a page number
Current ref 66 (Mutal of Omaha..) has a formatting error, I tried to fix it but was unable to.
- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Current ref 71 (2008 US Olympic Swim Team...) is lacking a publisher and last access dates.
- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
CUrrent ref 74 (Larsen...) has only authors, a date and page numbers. If you're referring to the books listed in the "further reading", further reading is for books that are NOT used as sources in the article. If it's used in the article, given the citation style used you need to give all the information in the footnote.
- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Same deal for current ref 77, since it's used in the sources, it shouldn't be in the further reading section.
- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Current ref 80 has a formatting glitch
- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Current ref 94 (Story of the Great Plains ...) is lacking publisher and last access date at the least. Also, what makes this a reliable source?
- Replaced. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Current ref 123 (Dalstrom...) what entry is this referring to?
- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Current ref 127 (French...) Is this a book? Or an article? If it's a book, we need a page number and it should be in italics. If it's an article, we need the publication it appeared it, and page numbers.
- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Current ref 163 (Dinova..) has a retrieved on date but no link?
- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Current ref 174 (Klein...) I believe you mean University of Minnesota press?
- Fixed (yes). • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Current ref 180 (Omaha Sports Commission official website...) publisher should be Omaha Sports Commission, not "official website"
- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Current ref 218 ("Gambling with the good life") is lacking a publisher.
- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 14:57, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Per the MOS, link titles shouldn't be in all capitals in the references.
- Done all of them? Ealdgyth - Talk 17:46, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Image review: Please make sure that all images have the {{information}} template completed in their summaries. The licensing of the images appear to be fine. --Moni3 (talk) 15:38, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Done. This was a brutal task, but I believe I've fixed all of them. • Freechild'sup? 16:13, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Hey. Can I ask, because I can't tell, if that was brutal really? I went through and looked at a few and some of them have incomplete source, author, or date information. If you need help with this, let me know. I know images are frustrating, but I'll be gentle I promise. --Moni3 (talk) 19:15, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Query Re the sentence "Most early pioneers were buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, next to soldiers from Fort Omaha, early European immigrants and African Americans." Is that early pioneers as oppose to or including early European immigrants and African Americans? If this refers to different phases in the use of the graveyard it would help to explain that. ϢereSpielChequers 12:42, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks,
also I was wondering if the Northern Tier mentioned was the Northern Tier (Pennsylvania)?ϢereSpielChequers 17:44, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]- Fixed. I couldn't confirm that information so I removed it. • Freechild'sup? 05:26, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Comments - These all come from the Sports and recreation section.
After the first use of National Collegiate Athletic Association, place the initials in parenthesis. This will ensure that the initials in the second paragraph don't confuse anyone.
Delink the second use of NCAA (before the College World Series). We're trying to cut down on the number of identical links.
Remove the capitalization from Gold Medalist? Do the same for Running back, and remove the comma after Johnny Rodgers.
"and the soon-to-open Missouri River Pedestrian Bridge..." When does it open? Precise time periods should always be provided for items like this, as they risk falling out-of-date otherwise.
- Fixed. • Freechild'sup? 02:19, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In the table, remove capitalization from Sports in Professional Sports in Omaha.Giants2008 (17-14) 16:20, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Comments -
"The lead should contain no more than four paragraphs". This article has a six paragraph lead."Tallest buildings" should be moved to a list subarticle as is the convention for large cities.
Kaldari (talk) 17:56, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Fixed. These concerns have been addressed. • Freechild'sup? 05:26, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- The following section of the lead needs to be fixed: "The city has a number of ethnic groups represented in its population. Race relations in the city have included a number of riots, lynchings, and recently, gang violence." Two problems here: The first sentence is stating the obvious; the second sentence makes it sound like the only race relations in the city involve violence. Kaldari (talk) 19:08, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Fixed. I reworded the sentence. • Freechild'sup? 05:30, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Hmm, it's an improvement, but it still seems like the wording could be better. Sorry I don't have a more specific suggestion. Kaldari (talk) 20:48, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Fixed. I gave it another rewording and would like your response. • Freechild'sup? 04:47, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Duplicate links to the same articles are rampant in this article; duplicate links need to be removed. Hmains (talk) 03:40, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Inconsistent date formatting in the citations:
- Kaipust, R. "Swim Trials CEO named president of the Omaha Sports Commission", Omaha World-Herald. August 27, 2008. Retrieved 9/21/08.
- I've actually never seeen that date format used in any FA, and it is not listed atWP:MOSDATE. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 05:34, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
