This article is about Gloria Steinem, a famous American feminist who became nationally recognized as a leader of, and media spokeswoman for, the women's liberation movement in the late 1960s and 1970s. It should be featured because it is a good, comprehensive article about an important person. Maranjosie (talk) 16:25, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose, recommend withdrawal -- Sorry but I don't think this article is close to FA quality as yet, particularly regards referencing and prose/structure. What stood out immediately was: 1) a good many statements are uncited and 2) two sections, Political awakening and activism and Later life, are almost list-like in their short, often single-sentence, paragraphs; another section, CIA Ties (not a MOS-compliant heading BTW), is ultra-short. I'd recommend withdrawing and re-working, then putting through WP:Peer Review before renominating at FAC. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 23:24, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
