Wikipedia:Drafts aren't part of the encyclopedia

- Proposed guideline
Drafts, which may be stored in userspace or draftspace, are not part of the Wikipedia encyclopedia. Drafts are marked so as not to be indexed by search engines. Draft content is not advertised to non-editors.
Wikipedia:Copyrights and WP:BLP apply to all content hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation, including content in the Draft namespace or user-space drafts.
What applies to drafts and what doesn't
[edit]Drafts should not be linked from the main namespace or from templates used in the main namespace, as those articles have not been created yet in the main namespace. They should not be tagged with maintenance tags either as only the draft author will make substantial edits to it. However, G3, G5, G10, G11 and G12 may still apply, as Articles for Creation is not the hosting place for blatantly disruptive and/or illegal material.
