Krzysztof Machocki (Halibutt)

Spokesperson of Wikimedia Polska, mentor of new users and Education Programs, passed on 31 January 2018, aged 36, after a couple of weeks of illness. Condolences may be left here.

Gangadhar Bhadani (Bhadani)

Bhadani started editing Wikipedia in March 2005 and in the same year in September, he became an administrator. He made more than 200,000 edits on the English Wikipedia. He died in February 2018. In March 2017, his autobiographical book Choice in Chaos: A Wikipedian's Autobiography was published, and an interview he gave is also online.

André Kritzinger (Andre Kritzinger)

Kritzinger started editing Wikipedia in March 2009. He made over 28,000 edits on the English Wikipedia and was highly active in the creation and expansion of articles in the topic areas of rail transport and railway locomotives.

Peter Entwisle (Peter Entwisle)

Although Peter was not a prolific Wikipedia editor (making some 3,000 edits between 2006 and 2014), he was a recognised expert in his fields of New Zealand art and New Zealand colonial history, and made substantial edits to articles relating to those subjects. A published writer and notable member of the New Zealand art community, an article on his life exists at Peter Entwisle. Alice Dacuba (Corinne)

Dacuba started editing Wikipedia in 2012 and made over 25,000 edits on the English Wikipedia. She was a coordinator at the Guild of Copy Editors and frequently worked on request articles there. She passed away on 20 March 2018. Numerous condolences were left on her user talk page from fellow editors.

Craig Franklin (Lankiveil)

Craig Franklin was a long-standing Irish-Australian Wikipedian who served as a board member (2011–2015) and president (2013) of Wikimedia Australia. Franklin joined Wikipedia on 12 August 2004 and became an administrator in August 2008. He also served as an oversighter for the English Wikipedia, a clerk for the Arbitration Committee, and a member of the ombudsman commission. He died unexpectedly on 15 April 2018 aged 34; his last edit was the day before he died. Condolences were left on his user talk page. A family tribute was published in The Courier-Mail: Tribute: FRANKLIN, Craig Patrick (24/04/2018, archived). Members of Wikimedia Australia attended the funeral (27/04/2018) and gave his wife the condolence book for her husband from the recent Wikimedia Conference in Berlin and condolence messages left on his User Talk page.

Dai Barnaby (Daicaregos)

Dai Barnaby, who edited as Daicaregos, was a proud Welshman who made over 17,000 edits, starting in 2008. He died in June 2018. He was particularly active in editing articles about Wales from a nationalist perspective, and in adding material, notably starting and gaining Good Article status for Parc Cwm long cairn.

Raymond Arritt (Shock Brigade Harvester Boris)

Raymond Arritt, known for his wise humour, died on November 14, 2018 after suffering a stroke. He was 61 years old. He originally edited under the account Raymond arritt, under which username he became an admin in 2007. He later created a new account, Short Brigade Harvester Boris, in 2008, which was renamed to Shock Brigade Harvester Boris in 2015. In real life, Arritt was an agronomy professor at Iowa State University. There is a Wikipedia article on his life at Raymond Arritt.

Robert "Bob" Copp (CoppBob)

Robert Copp, former international labor affairs manager for the Ford Motor Company, died on October 28, 2018 of congestive heart failure, at the age of 97. He began editing Wikipedia in 2004, and continued editing until 2013.
