Wikipedia:Dealing with dictionary definitions
Appearance
This is an essay. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article, nor is it one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. Some essays represent widespread norms; others only represent minority viewpoints. |
Wikipedia is not a dictionary. Wikipedia is not a place to define words or phrases and is not to be written in the style of a dictionary. But this does not mean that a page title that contains a dictionary entry needs to be deleted.
Ways to solve dictionary entries
[edit]Most Wikipedia titles are nouns (people, places, or things). In most cases, a subject should be titled as a noun.
