Wikipedia:Creation of example red links as pages

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Example red link creation is the process where legitimate pages are created using titles that are already used as examples of red links on Wikipedia pages. While some example red links, like this one, have titles that will obviously never be created in good faith, other red link examples have plausible titles. This leads to the creation of articles or redirects at page names intended as example red links to be a fairly common problem. Once an article is created, the link is no longer red, and may not serve its purpose as an example. Currently, there is a template called {{ifexist series}} which helps with this problem. In WP:REDLINK there is the following:

[[{{ifexist series<!--
-->|Corruption in Wales<!--
-->|Corruption in Algeria<!--
-->|Corruption in Belize<!--
-->|Corruption in Bhutan<!--
-->|Corruption in Burkina Faso<!--
-->|Corruption in Djibouti<!--
-->|Corruption in Fiji<!--
-->|Corruption in Greenland<!--
-->|Corruption in Honduras<!--
-->|Corruption in Kiribati<!--
-->}}]]

This will automatically produce a red link for whichever is the first one of these articles not to exist (currently Corruption in Wales), so should last quite some time.
