Wikipedia:Cleanup Taskforce/List of Atlantic hurricane seasons
The cleanup isn't for the category, but for every year in the category. It is important to get this information right because of the recent interest in hurricanes due to hurricane katrina and hurricane rita, along with thoughts that global warming causes more intense hurricanes. Information can be found at [1] for each of the storm years, along with pictures of the tracks. I don't know if the unisys pictures of tracks are under copyright, but the information is public domain since it is produced by NOAA. --Ignignot 20:00, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

- Definitely OK. Thank you for taking it. RJFJR 02:43, 13 October 2005 (UTC)
- I firmly believe expansion is more of the order. I don't think that these articles need a whole lot of cleaning up. Tremendous amounts of hard work have gone into creating these pages. I don't think you guys fully appreciate the immense amount of work that has gone into these articles. In two years a select few Wikipedians have compiled half a millenia of detailed hurricane data. That is a remarkable achievement and I have posted a notice of recognition to those who have worked so hard. I am tempted to remove the cleanup taskforce notice because I believe tremendous improvement is unnescisary. It went from this to this in 1 year, 3 months, and 24 days. I am astounded. I also find it surprising that you see a need for a drastic cleanup.
- After a more thourough reading of this article, I would have to agree with Mr Browns assesment of the work needed. I am no expert on hurricanes myself, I only see myself as a type of organizer. As such, I withdraw myself from this cleanup task. If there is a problem, please do not hesitate to tell me on my talk page. -- Phinnaeus (talk) 02:44, 21 October 2005 (UTC)
I can see no need for a cleanup of List of Atlantic hurricane seasons or any of the hurricane season pages. I have closed the task. Andreww 02:29, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
