Wikipedia:Cleanup Taskforce/Jack Sparrow
Some of the problems with this page include spelling, eg. "bandanna," grammatical/typographical errors, unsourced statements ("In some versions of the script, it is said that Jack was a cartographer before he became a pirate, and this was how he discovered the location of the Isla de Muerta, one thing that may hint to this is that he wears a red map for a bandanna.") and generally poor style. A good example of some of the problems in the article is a section about the unreleased movie which I edited earlier today.
"In an interview, Johnny stated that there are plans for Rolling Stones rocker, Keith Richards to join the cast. It is rumored to be Captain Jack's father, but that certain role is unknown as of now. Don't get your hopes up, Stones fans, Mr. Richards still has a very important tour he has to finish in the mean time, but don't worry. According to that same interview, they are planning to film Pirates 3 around the tour dates."
I hope this explaination is sufficient enough for the cleanup taskforce to work on it. I'm not really sure what the procedure is, but as the saying goes, be bold.Alex Klotz 03:41, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Looks OK IMHO (a lot of people are working on it). Close. RJFJR 23:24, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
There are a lot of sections that are just too long. The sections for each movie are essentially entire plot summaries, not just explanations of Jack's role. Either the sections should be trimmed down to focus on the subject matter of the page (Jack) or they should just link to the main movie pages, where those summaries belong. Also, certain character sections are practically transcriptions of entire scenes. (The "rum" section is a particularly egregious example.) Slurms MacKenzie 07:25, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
