Automatic, Supervised, or Manual: Automatic
Programming language(s): PHP
Source code available: Yes, on GitHub
Function overview: Upload a graph of the current US President's job approval ratings.
Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate): previous BRFA (the bot has since been renamed)
Edit period(s): Daily
Estimated number of pages affected: One file (changed daily)
Exclusion compliant (Yes/No): No
Already has a bot flag (Yes/No): No
Function details: Generates and uploads an SVG graph of the current president's approval ratings. Currently this file is File:Barack Obama's Presidential Job Approval Ratings, 2009-2012 (Gallup Poll).svg but this would be changed every term to reflect the current president and term. For example, if Romney wins the next election it would be File:Mitt Romney's Presidential Job Approval Ratings, 2012-2016 (Gallup Poll).svg, and retrieve its data from the proper URL on Gallup's website.

[edit]Approved for trial (7 days). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. MBisanz talk 14:33, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- The trial begins as of the November 11th upload, I guess. Any previous edits were made manually while debugging the bot (the cronjob was broken). After the trial period, I'm going to run it weekly rather than daily, since the graph doesn't change very much from day to day. — Wolfgang42 (talk) 18:19, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Okey, that sounds good. Feel free to run it two cycles before coming back here. MBisanz talk 23:30, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Two cycles meaning two updates and/or two days? — Wolfgang42 (talk) 00:10, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Two updates, however long you think is appropriate to do them. MBisanz talk 00:36, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Trial complete. With no errors since it started running automatically. There are a few older uploads consisting of an error message; this bug has been resolved. The edit frequency has been changed to weekly (on Thursdays) in the cron job, but that doesn't affect the rest of the program any. — Wolfgang42 (talk) 20:03, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Approved. for once a week. MBisanz talk 19:04, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
