Operator: Jeremyb (talk · contribs)
Time filed: 21:42, Saturday January 22, 2011 (UTC)
Automatic or Manually assisted: Automatic (after trial)
Programming language(s): python, php
Source code available: will use pywikibot/pywikipedia lib with some custom code and Frank's code. any new code will be released under GPL or related license (e.g. AGPL) and in public version control
Function overview: Calculate stats for WP:USPP classes and update the onwiki leaderboard
Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate): This was requested by ragesoss from the WP:USPP
Edit period(s): once hourly or once per 3-4 hrs
Estimated number of pages affected: 1 per run
Exclusion compliant (Y/N): Y
Already has a bot flag (Y/N): N
Function details: Frank's page which already exists on the toolserver uses a hardcoded list of users and updates to the corresponding (static) page onwiki are done manually.
I'd like to address both of those issues; first with a bot that just copies from frank's output and then with a TS acct (don't have one yet) and update it pull user lists from the wiki on each update.

[edit]Does the page really change significantly and frequently such that more than daily updates are really necessary? Mr.Z-man 22:42, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I'll adapt frequency in response to what the ambassador project wants. I think 1 edit per hour is fine if that's what they want or slower if they prefer slower. --Jeremyb (talk) 02:22, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Approved for trial (20 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. Doesn't seem like that big a deal. harej 06:54, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
