Programming Language(s):
Function Summary: Add category and/or infobox template (with appropriate data) to existing Indian location articles.
Edit period(s) (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run):daily
Edit rate requested: 3-4 edits per min
Already has a bot flag (Y/N):Y
Function Details: The actual function of the bot is to create articles about Indian villages/towns. There are many articles which exist but are not properly categorized. I normally use AWB with my user account(User:Sumanthk) to manually categorize and add appropriate infobox to these articles (see this example). Normally the creation of articles and categorization are interleaved (one follows another). I would like to do both using my bot so that I don't have to logout and login to do the second job.

- Is there any update on this? Is it working successfully? Perhaps you could link a few diffs? E talk 10:18, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Here are some edits. [1].
- I've manually updated cat/geo data. However I think I can as well do this with user account if I prepare all my lists in advance and store them. I don't have to interleave creation/editing. I will decide whether I need this or not once my list is ready (probably within a day).--(Sumanth|Talk) 10:35, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I've decided to this with my user account itself.
