Operator: Twp
Automatic or Manually Assisted: automatic
Programming Language(s): Python / pywikipedia
Function Summary: Merge {{reqphotoin}} template with {{reqphoto}}.
Edit period(s) (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): one time run
Edit rate requested: 1 epm
Already has a bot flag (Y/N): Y
Function Details:
I have added location-based parameters to the {{reqphoto}} template to permit merging it with the {{reqphotoin}} template. This both simplifies the template namespace and makes the templates more useful: it is now possible to mark a single photo request with both its subject and location (which before would have required two templates and produced two infoboxes).
This bot will walk the pages linked from Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:Reqphotoin and replace any {{reqphotoin|foo|bar|baz}}
template with {{reqphoto}}
. Once that is done I will propose formally merging {{reqphotoin}} with {{reqphoto}}.
