Discussion
[edit]- Will this also remove apostrophes, change capitalization, etc? – Quadell (talk) 13:47, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Removing apostrophes is already put in the script. If other features are needed, like changing capitalization, I can add them to the script. Muro de Aguas (write me) 13:55, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- You might want to get with User:Drilnoth about it, and see Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/DrilBot 2. – Quadell (talk) 15:18, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- User:DrilBot does work on CHECKWIKI's list of articles with special characters in their DEFAULTSORTs. I think that other CHECKWIKI bots may work on it too, so I'm not sure if this is really necessary. I'm not opposed to having another bot to help out, but especially once the backlog from this past database dump is gone, having more than one or two bots for the whole project might be kind of redundant. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 15:31, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes, but now there are 3374 articles to fix. I have cleaned the list on eswiki (one month ago there were 4600+ articles to fix, now only 10) and I could help here, because the script is almost the same. If you don't want to approve this task because there is another bot, it doesn't matter for me, I only want to take advantage because the script is almost equal. Muro de Aguas (write me) 16:48, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Personally, I think we could use more help with WP:CHECKWIKI. Even if -ever - we get to the end of the current lists, it's likely someone comes up with a new aspect to improve and the existing bots will be more than busy with that. -- User:Docu 08:36, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

- I think that this task won't never be approved. So, I prefer to fix other errors. Do I have to close this request and do a new one? Instead of fixing this error, now I want to ask for permission to fix Template value ends with break, which 34,242 times. Muro de Aguas (write me) 13:38, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- That list should probably be done manually... there are some templates where this is needed. Now if the templates could be changed easily... –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 13:46, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- It should be possible to do #59 with pywikipedia using wikipedia.page.templatesWithParams(). Personally, I wouldn't mind if #6 was done. -- User:Docu
