Discussion
[edit]Don't replace anything in content namespaces (Template, Category, Portal) with that image, it's self-referential. I suggest to remove 'em completely. MaxSem(Han shot first!) 15:15, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Okay. The only annoying thing with removal is the crazy [[Image:Example.jpg|thumb|200px|[[Comment]][[Comment]][[Comment]]]]. Those are annoying with regexes, although I think pywikipediabot has a built-in image removal function. Do you mean removal for User space etc too? Mønobi 20:13, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- This regex might work for that, if I remember correctly:
\[\[Image:whatever\.jpg
- [^\[\]]*
- (\[\[[^\[\]]*\]\][^\[\]]*)*
\]\]
- If that helps. Essentially, it matches any number of links inside the description field. It is also known to cause headaches in anyone who attempts to understand it. --uǝʌǝsʎʇɹoɟʇs(st47) 22:11, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Looks like one of my earlier attempts at getting OrphanBot's regex right. How does it handle image links of the form [[Image:whatever.jpg|[http://somebody.stuck.a.url/here]]]? --Carnildo (talk) 06:36, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Stares at it in horror and then does nothing. --uǝʌǝsʎʇɹoɟʇs(st47) 12:58, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Actually, I think I'll just remove it if it is used in an article, and won't touch it if it is used out of the article space. Mønobi 22:11, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Ok. Approved for trial (50 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. --uǝʌǝsʎʇɹoɟʇs(st47) 11:52, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Isn't a trial a little redundant here, given that's already been running? Alai (talk) 06:25, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I can't find any edits from this task in your contribs. Have you run this task recently? SQLQuery me! 14:25, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
