Discussion
[edit]- Comment: This bot appears to have made hundreds of edits already, including ones like this that left an empty section. The edits that the bot has made recently do not contain a link to any BRFA, and they do not appear to correspond to the description of this task or the previously approved bot task. – Jonesey95 (talk) 22:21, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't testing/removing the empty section, because: Currently there is no clearly syntactically-semantically defined boundary in the Wiki+HTML MediaWiki language between the end of the last text section and the "meta data part" at the end of the page section. So, if the detailism, so it is not strict universal for the bot using now.
The actual "testing" changes are okey, because this bot task.
Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 22:30, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]- Hundreds of edits? Try more like almost 2000 edits. Give me a good reason why this bot should not be blocked. Primefac (talk) 10:23, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Also, "I have a bot task approved" does not give you blanket approval to do "anything you want" with your bot. The bot task is for a single task; no more, no less. Primefac (talk) 10:27, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- @Primefac: My changes been okey, the task enable to change the information. The links are no longer quite up to date. They are in history - i.e. they cannot be updated or repaired (change or error). Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 12:54, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

- This bot task is incredibly vague, does not link to anything remotely resembling a discussion or consensus-building operation, and the "test edits" broke things. I'm tempted to reject this request out of hand, but as a show of good faith I'm willing to let you reword and fix the request so that it is actually asking for something. - You do realise the participants in that discussion are saying they support the exact opposite of what you propose, yes? Primefac (talk) 11:57, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- @Primefac: Yes, because the author of another bot is reacting. Apparently he's following his own interests. And I understand that he is not enthusiastic about the modification of his bot, if I am right. You just create a bot and find that you need this, and more and more. And work Example for 3 hours suddenly turns into 20 hours. Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 12:48, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Denied. Based on that discussion, and your talk page, you do not have consensus for this task. If you can get consensus to remove thousands of external links and do it properly, you are welcome to open a new task request. in the meantime, unless you are running this task, the bot absolutely should not be editing Wikipedia.
