Function details: ChristieBot maintains a database of statistics relating to FAC. I have modified its functionality so that it derives its data from monthly data files created as subpages of User:Mike Christie/FACstats monthly data. I would like to create about 200 more pages under that page holding monthly FAC data back to August 2006. Aside from being a more visible repository of the data this will allow others to review and check the accuracy of the statistics and serve as a backup in case something happens to the MariaDB database on toolforge that currently holds this data.
I am not sure if BAG approval is needed since these edits will be entirely in my name space but thought I should check. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 17:25, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- And I've just realized that it would also be good if this approval could apply to future creations of these subpages. That would be a different process -- rather than create the page from the database, it would create it from a scan of the FAC archives. [edit]Speedily Approved. Since this is just going to be editing in your userspace, I see no reason that we need to run a trial; it seems relatively uncontroversial as well. Primefac (talk) 23:38, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
