Operator: Verisimilus T
Automatic or Manually Assisted: Automatic
Programming Language(s): PHP5
Function Summary: Prioritise {{todo}} templates.
Edit period(s) (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): Continuous
Edit rate requested: 1 per minute
Function Details: To prioritise {{todo}} boxes wherever they appear. It'll count the "what links here" to the appropriate page, then set the relevant priority number. Periodically (~monthly, I'll log as I go to gain an idea of how often it's worthwhile) a full recount will be done of all articles (at 1epm); on a day to day basis it'll check new transclusions and update them appropriately.
I've got TaxoBot to build first, but thought I may as well get the BRFA for this one done so I can work at it when I'm ready! Verisimilus T 18:11, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Makes sense to me. Approved for trial (50 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. — madman bum and angel 17:02, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please make sure this bug gets fixed. — madman bum and angel 14:36, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The bot pasted the Main Page (?) over one talk page over and over and over again (apparently fixed). It hit the same articles up to three times in places, continuing to add the priority without checking that it was already there. It's removing paragraph breaks, decoding HTML entities, and removing HTML tags and comments. It changed {{todo}} transclusions in <nowiki>. All in all, hardly an audacious start, and unfortunately I feel given that this is the trial, I can't see that this bot is ever going to be harmless. Denied. — madman bum and angel 16:12, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
