Function details: Giving the "cleanup" parameter to {{disambiguation}} causes the page to be placed into Category:Disambiguation pages in need of cleanup, which is a dated maintenance category; pages should be sorted into an appropriate dated subcategory instead. This sorting cannot be done using template {{disambiguation}}, as it does not have support for the |date= parameter; its documentation states that {{disambiguation cleanup}} should be used instead.

The bot will change any instance of {{disambiguation}} with "cleanup" as one of its unnamed/numbered parameters to the corresponding invocation of {{disambiguation cleanup}}, and add the current month and year in |date=.

Discussion

This is, of course, an extension of the TagDater task approved in AnomieBOT 49. I've noticed {{disambiguation|cleanup}} twice recently, so it seems it would be something useful for the bot to fix. Anomie ⚔ 01:57, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Approved for trial (50 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. — seems sane.
