Discussion
[edit]Two bots already exist for this.
I'll admit OQBot gets hung up sometimes, but I can't find the common factor that causes it. Q T C 21:29, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Alpta, are their any problems in the other two that make you propose this bot? Or is is just an extra in case they both die? :-) Cbrown1023 talk 22:24, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I see some problems. With the Uncle G bot the bot only runs once a day to reset the sandbox. The OQBot is good but it doesn't always reset the header like it is suppose to. OQBot only resets two pages also. This bot can, if it is needed, reset all of the different sandbox headers. Having a back up bot is also good. How often should the bot reset the sandbox? Every 10 minutes? or is 20 better? Alpta 04:22, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- My bot can edit more pages, I just need to add them to the config. It only edits the two listed since that was all that was BRFA'd Q T C 04:50, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Should I withdraw this bot request then if everything is covered? Alpta 20:06, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- If you wish. — madman bum and angel 04:36, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I would still like to have it. I don't think it would hurt anything. Alpta 13:16, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- OK, Approved for trial (50 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. Adding back the sandbox heading in real time (or every couple of minutes) is great, but resetting shouldn't be done more than once an hour, I think. —METS501 (talk) 02:38, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I don't think it needs to reset the sandbox every 10 minutes. Wikipedian 15:26, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Okay, I will do that. Alpta 20:53, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
