Architecture Programs (Education background)
[edit]The National Architectural Accrediting Board is responsible for accrediting architecture programs in the United States. There are approximately 153 accredited Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral programs at 123 different institutions.[1] According to the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ASCA), HBCU's make up 5% of overall architecture programs however 32% of black architecture students are enrolled at an HBCU. Black students make up 5% of total enrolled students overall. [2] Many buildings on HBCU campuses were designed by black architects. [3]
