- New Members join next meeting 2nd? week of May
- Up for Election: Chris (CA), Donald (OA), Richard (Open Spot), Piotr (Open Spot)
- Revisit Journal Idea
- Noticed that [1] was proposed, similar to past ideas, will need to keep an eye on it.
- per Jan, Daniel Mietchen might work with Piotr's idea - may need to wait till WikiMania ([2]) since it is being discussed there.
- Jan will continue to be liaison on this, although Richard will be the second point person.
- Online Ambassador Recruitment
- Agreement on getting site-notices up, potentially geo-localized near current schools? Will also need to officially post a notice on the appropriate places (signpost, talk pages (student pages as well?), GEP,...) to try and bring in more people.
- Max/Jami will be the point person
- Adding questions regards plagiarism - agreed on 3 questions to be added to OA application:
- How would you make sure your students were not violating Copyright laws?
- If one of your students had an issue with Copyright Violation how would resolve it?
- In your own words describe what Copyright Violation is.
- Agreement on getting site-notices up, potentially geo-localized near current schools? Will also need to officially post a notice on the appropriate places (signpost, talk pages (student pages as well?), GEP,...) to try and bring in more people.
- Signpost Update
- Going well but only focusing on bi-weekly till we get more content.
- Future Re-Org Meeting
- Looking for roughly 20 people to participate in early summer in SF or NYC? (Exact date will not be same time as Wikimania)
- Prelim discussion will be on-wiki, to help get ideas into the pot, final number of folks in the room TBA depending on schedules/interest
- Will need to coordinate with tabled talks from conferences & wmf affairs end of june/early july
- Email will be sent out Monday with more precise details, but focus will be on long-term strategy / project organization
- Will also need to firm up how to "train" Online Ambassadors in a more formal way -> alot will need to go on-wiki and combined with Professor Aid?
- Bottom line, WMF is trying to hand-off most of the remaining responsibility back to the community - transition period will probably last through Dec 2012?
- Looking for roughly 20 people to participate in early summer in SF or NYC? (Exact date will not be same time as Wikimania)
- Recap IRC OA Chat
- Biggest takeaways are we need more formal training, and to really make roles and responsibilities more explicit instead of the current more laissez-faire - Jami will send a more defined list on Monday as she had to head to the airport

- A few minor updates - waiting on Education Extension to go fully live to launch
- Consensus is extension may take a while, so best to launch early, may coordinate with NYPL efforts?
