Summary:
[edit]After suggesting a merge between the articles Punisher computer and video games and The Punisher (arcade game) User:HanzoHattori because beligerant, started making personall attacks and started placing information on the talk pages of both articles which had nothing to do with proposed merge, thus disrupting any chance of a resolution. I would like this incident resolved and any possible action taken agaist User:HanzoHattori to be so.
Discussion:
[edit]Advocacy
[edit]Hi, I'm David, from the Association of Members' Advocates, and I've agreed to help you with your problem. As I see it, your objectives are probably twofold: firstly, to achieve the merging of The Punisher (arcade game) into Punisher computer and video games, a reasonable enough goal on its face, since virtually all of the information in the first article is duplicated in the main one, and secondly to stop HanzoHattori's campaign of incivility against you. Now, the actions I propose to take on these issues are:
- Leave a friendly note on HanzoHatti's talk page, reminding him of WP:CIV and WP:OWN, and asking him to remember to be polite. If he should continue with the language he has used in the past, we can consider a user-conduct request for comment against him.
- Re-open the discussion on Talk:The Punisher (arcade game), and perhaps consider asking for a third opinion or an article request for comment.
I hope all this sounds reasonable. If not, please do let me know. David Mestel(Talk) 18:06, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[1]
A word to the wise
[edit]Hi, I'm David from the AMA, and I'm just here to give you a word of advice regarding your manner in discussions, especially on Talk:The Punisher (arcade game). It's not nice to accuse people of lying, or to tell them that "you'll be sorry", and remember that articles belong to everyone. Thanks.
Oh, and you might want to take a look at my discussion on that page of the proposed merge. David Mestel(Talk) 18:36, 9 November 2006 (UTC) [2]
Merger
[edit]Animedude and I feel that this page should be merged into Punisher computer and video games, because it provides essentially no additional content, and what little there may be could easily be added to the main article. If you have any reasons why you do not think that they should be merged, please do set them out below. David Mestel(Talk) 18:47, 9 November 2006 (UTC) [3]
