500 Women Scientists Wikipedia Edit-a-thons
Welcome to the Wiki-project page for 500 Women Scientists' Wikipedia Edit-a-thons campaign.
Our main goals are to:
- Ensure accurate and robust information on Wikipedia pages for individuals traditionally underrepresented in science—particularly for women and femmes;
- Teach scientists how to use Wikipedia as a science communication outlet for issues surrounding science and society; and
- Support 500 Women Scientists' mission of serving society by making science open, inclusive, and accessible.
Wikipedia is an openly editable resource, meaning that you can improve the quality and accuracy of Wikipedia entries. As one of the web’s most visited reference sites, Wikipedia serves as a starting point for many individuals looking to learn about art, history, and science.
