West Island is an island of the Andaman Islands. It belongs to the North and Middle Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.[6] The island lies 212 km (132 mi) north from Port Blair.
Geography
[edit]The island falls in between Coco Islands and North Andaman Island. It lies in the western approach to the Cleugh Passage.[2] The island is small, having an area of 2.85 km2 (1.10 sq mi).
Administration
[edit]Politically, West Island is part of Diglipur Tehsil.[7]
