The goal was to blend fashion with local culture, while also celebrating Vogue’s iconic September issue.[5]

[edit]The centerpiece of Vogue World 2024 was an elaborate runway show that took place in a transformed urban space, with Paris’ historic landmarks serving as the backdrop, guests arrived around 8pm [CET] for the beginning of the show at 9[CET].[13] The runway became a space not just for high fashion but also for performances and celebrity appearances. Some hailed the event as a successful celebration of diversity and creativity, particularly noting its emphasis on inclusivity and cultural representation.[15] Others, however, viewed the event as a blend of French and American influences that didn't fully align with the traditional elegance of Parisian fashion.[2] The police expressed reluctance, citing the significant congestion already affecting central Paris as a result of preparations for the upcoming Games next month.[13]
