Vigo Township is one of ten townships in Knox County, Indiana. As of the 2020 census, its population was 4,083 (up from 4,031 at 2010[3]) and it contained 2,095 housing units.[4]

History

Vigo Township was established in 1837. It was named for Col. François Vigo.[6]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 67.11 square miles (173.8 km2), of which 66.13 square miles (171.3 km2) (or 98.54%) is land and 0.97 square miles (2.5 km2) (or 1.45%) is water.[3]
