Vera Alice Santos Zimmermann (born March 30, 1964, in São Paulo) is a Brazilian actress. She's famous for her work in Ela Perdoa (1999)
Born to a German father and a Gaucho mother, Vera began her acting career in the early 1980's, when she performed the Eterno Retorno and Macunaíma with Nelson Rodrigues and Antunes Filho. It is speculated that "Vera Gata" by Caetano Veloso may be related to her.[1]
In 2015, she was hired by RecordTV, to play Princess Henutmire in Os Dez Mandamentos. In 2017, she played Queen Neusta in O Rico e Lázaro.
Controversy
[edit]In 2005, Vera appeared on the cover of Época magazine with the title "I Had an Abortion", referring to the abortion she had when aged 25 years old.[2] The cover won the Esso prize for a magazine graphical creation.[3]
