Vasantrao Chavan (15 August 1954 – 26 August 2024) was an Indian politician from Maharashtra. He was elected as an independent member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly representing Naigaon Assembly constituency in 2009. In May 2014, he was appointed to the Legislative Assembly's Public Accounts Committee.[1] He joined the Indian National Congress party in September 2014 and was re-elected to the 13th Maharashtra Assembly as a Congress party member.[2][3]

In the 2024 Lok Sabha election, he was elected to the 18th Lok Sabha representing Nanded constituency.[4] He was trustee and Chairperson of Janta Highschool and College of Agriculture in Naigaon.[5]

Chavan died on 26 August 2024, at the age of 70.[6]
