Talk:Casey Serin
71.237.92.216 deleted several comments from an active discussion on the talk page, and posted a comment suggesting that I'm the one who did it. I looked in the history to see if I accidentally split up a longer comment, but I haven't. The edits involved are #126891204, at 17:08, 29 April 2007, and #126888182, at 16:52, 29 April 2007. Are we allowed to restore the comments? (Feeling like a tattletale...) 209.234.66.97 22:36, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- If comments are removed without good reason they can (and usually should) be reinstated. Good reason can sometimes include personal attacks, dodgy legal things, and comments which are really off-topic and not part of a conversation. If none of these are involved you would be right to restore the comments. At first sight, I can only see one edit [1] which removed three of your comments. You would be quite entitled to restore it. Having said that, you should be a bit wary of restoring comments which describe another editor's emotional state. -- zzuuzz(talk) 23:05, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for clarifying. I will only restore the comment about not using blog sources. 209.234.66.97 23:58, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Deleteing my pages
I can understand deleting the imporper external links but please allow me to post a definition of our company. A description of our company services is hardly advertising. Try reviewing Microsoft or the million other comapny definitions on wikipedia.
Also rather then simply reverting to an old page please take the time to properly edit as I have been adding categoies and other defeiinition links that you are overwriting.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Seankenalty (talk • contribs).
- Please see the guidelines about this. If your company is notable you should wait for someone else to write the article, as happened with the Microsoft article. The description of ITrac Media was blatant self-promotion - I'll even quote a sentence, "We can help your company maximize the value of this channel. Contact....". -- zzuuzz(talk) 14:11, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

To Zzuuzz, don't bully others
Zzuuzz, you should not hide yourself as a normal user. If you a manager of this topic, you should let other members know.
Why you always delete others links, but add all your links? But when others follow you to add links, you either delete others, or block others to edit. This is not a moral person who should do this kind of bad things.
Please declare yourself, for example, I'm the person who's in charge of this topic. Please don't use your power to bully others. You should know the reason that others add links is to follow you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Apexpromotion (talk • contribs) 00:31, 3 May 2007 (UTC).
- Hello. We are all normal editors. The whole Wikipedia project and community has long been of the opinion that people who are here to sell software should not do so. I do not add links to sell software. In fact I will be very impressed if can find any link that I've added. -- zzuuzz(talk) 00:39, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
To Zzuuzz, please enable my account
Zzuuzz, everybody can see that your guys are related to those links articles, even though you are not directly sell software. Please enable my account as soon as possible. Otherwise, I have to ask you and other related editors the following question "In front of the God, can you promise that you are not related to those links you added?" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Apexpromotion (talk • contribs) 00:52, 3 May 2007 (UTC).
- Neither I nor any other editor I know is related to any links on Wikipedia. Your account is currently enabled. I have not added any links. The last link I added was probably to a government site to reference a school article. Links which are added to promote a product or service are removed - this is an encyclopaedia and not a link directory or a tool to promote sales. Please accept that. -- zzuuzz(talk) 01:01, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
It's still diabled when I go to the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_marketing , I can't edit it.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Apexpromotion (talk • contribs).
- The page is currently semi-protected, strangely enough, to deal with the continual spam it gets. I hope you weren't going to try and add your links again. -- zzuuzz(talk) 01:13, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Indef blocks
Sorry, most of the indef blocks were set as a mistake. I generally use the keyboard shortcuts to set the fields. If a key misfires, it causes the block time to be wrongly set. I realize most of the mistakes and tweak them properly but once in a blue moon, some escape through. As for the indef block, I did it temporarily thinking of requesting a checkuser, meanwhile preventing the user from editing. But later decided against it, but forgot to revert the block. Thanks for pointing out. --soum (0_o) 20:29, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Oregon City High School
Hey, I noticed you made a couple of helpful edits to Oregon City High School. On that page I've been having a conflict with 128.193.241.186 who is adamant about keeping the page the way he wants it, to the point of vandalism. I don't want it to escalate any further than it already has. Do you have any ideas (such as semi-protecting the page, or an official vandalism warning, etc)? I appreciate the help. Don't worry about responding too fast, though sometime in the next couple of days would be preferred. Comrade4·2 08:12, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- I noticed the request at RFPP which I also would have declined. I think it's important to recognise that we are not dealing with vandals here. A little misguided and not familiar with our policies and guidelines, perhaps. Such editors should be dealt with through AGF and consensus and education. There are school articles in a wide variety of conditions on Wikipedia. It's important to allow a little leeway as the article wanders the long path to featured quality. Let me know if I can help further, but with the current editors it probably won't involve protections or blocks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 13:00, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
24.85.53.150
I was about the remove 24.85.53.150 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) from AIV without blocking, as its only made one edit, yesterday, since last block expired. Looking at nature of edits I'm not totally sure it's the same person, so I think some sort of warning before next block should have been given. The nature of the vandalism doesn't seem to warrant a month block either. Could you please re-consider your block; or if there is something else I'm not taking into account, please explain. Thanks, Petros471 13:50, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- I'm fairly sure it's the same vandal who was blocked twice in the last month for penis vandalism and that no good edits will come from this IP in a month. However I'm not going to be able to persuade you with hard evidence, and it was a bit long, so I'll reduce it to a week. If you think it should be unblocked entirely or for a shorter time, I encourage you to set the block yourself. -- zzuuzz (talk) 14:04, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, reduced to a week. Cheers, Petros471 14:21, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
AccuFund
I just noticed that the contributions I provided in the non-profit accounting software area with regard to AccuFund and the comparison of accounting software has been deleted. I understand and approve the need to ban advertising. This, however is an area under-discussed and all to often lumped into commercial accounting area. This area tends to be serviced by smaller companies and regularly reviewed (references were provided on deleted pages). I would like to have the deletion re-evaluated. What is the process? GordonHolfelder 02:41, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, the process for undeletion is Deletion review, and the original discussion, for reference, is Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AccuFund. It will be important to review the conflict of interest guidelines, the notability guidelines, and to provide independent reliable references, ie not press releases, which did not seem to appear before. -- zzuuzz (talk) 02:53, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi there!! my article on the Ivory League is refering to term only used in speeches at the Heamster's and missterress' conferances. The members are introduced to each other as either Ivory or Plain at these conferances. So please dont delete it...its real!! P.S. Your fast! xxxxx :)
- There really needs to be sources for both the existence of this list, and inclusion in it. See the policy on verifiability. We have a hard enough job finding references for the Rugby Group and Haileybury Group without adding yet another group which is only mentioned in occasional speeches and nowhere else (and doesn't really contain anything new either). Sources, please. -- zzuuzz (talk) 11:57, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
B1 ... B4
Now you've got me curious too. I have no idea what that means. The relevant standard would be the 6th bullet of criterion 5, I guess, so I don't know where B1/B4 comes from. --BigDT 01:05, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- It seems to be a version of TWINKLE [4]. -- zzuuzz (talk) 01:18, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks
I came here to thank you for dealing with the vandalism to my archive page — from the other messages here, it looks as though you have a vocation, and deserve more than just a quick "thank you" — so:

Thanks for the welcome
Thanks for the welcome, it made me jump when I saw the pink box, I thought I had done something wrong. I have been reading Wikipedia for a month or so, and watching and reading the guidelines, I hope, in my own small way, to be a positive contributor and your welcome helped me feel, for want of a better word, included in this massive project. Again thank you. --BotleyBoy 14:20, 26 May 2007 (UTC) 007 (UTC)
I've deleted this as being a copyright violation, feel free to re-write though. —— Eagle101Need help? 09:29, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks Eagle101, it took longer to deal with than I expected. -- zzuuzz (talk) 09:40, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
help
the User:220.237.107.166 has denied access to the Serbia article. I'm asking u to remove the ban since the blockade is quite inappropriate and the user has a list of intolerant behavior towards these articles. Best, User:NeroN_BG
- It's fixed now. He made that edit seconds before I blocked him, so I didn't notice it. In future you can fix it yourself - see Help:Reverting. -- zzuuzz (talk) 12:00, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Thnx, appreciate it. x User:NeroN_BG
reposts
About reposts - see my post here - so either 1) the criteria has changed since the tag was created? 2) the tag is wrong? 3) it is allowed and the misunderstanding is that the DB-repost cannot be used for speedy when it actually can if the content is the same? --Fredrick day 19:15, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- It's long been explicitly mentioned in the CSD policy. The reason that reposts aren't automatically eligible is because they are usually eligible for the original reason they were speedy deleted. They are usually eligible, but not for being reposted. This is also mentioned in the CSD. I think the template says to check the deletion log for previous non-speedy deletions, but it's not really very clear. The CSD policy is the more correct. -- zzuuzz (talk) 19:20, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your advice. As you suggested I added a request on the Iraq Talk Page to add Iraq Image to the external links. I believe Iraq Image website is pertinent to the information displayed, and will help any researcher. Thanks again. jarmo99(talk) 15:30, 28 May 2007 (EST)

I've move protected the article, if the editor does a cut'n'paste botch job on another article I think it's a block... /wangi 09:01, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think move protection will help a cut and paste move? I've already applied a short block. It's probably a vandal. -- zzuuzz (talk) 09:03, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Duh, you're of course right! I'll unprotect that. Thanks/wangi 09:04, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

ya mum! was started by ben farley so it is therefore not vandalism. I do not mean to appear to be rude or vadalising.. but how is me putting the real facts on a page "vandalising"? pray tell —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ArnieBabe (talk • contribs).
- Where is the source of this information, and who is ben farley? Who is Callum Bush? Are they from KSHS? Please stop vandalising. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 12:43, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
