Re:Esther

Given that's an older report, no one but Den of Geek has called her that, and it's not a direct quote at Den of Geek, I lean toward leaving it out until it's established by the show. -- Noneofyourbusiness (talk) 21:43, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Mind weighing in?

Zythe, you already know I'm familiar with your work on LGBT-related articles (we've even talked a few times), and I want to know if you wouldn't mind weighing in on this: Talk:Heterosexualization#Not only an LGBT issue. I posted a message about it at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject LGBT studies, which you may have seen already, but I hardly get any help from there or other WikiProjects these days. So part of my approach these days is to go to relevant editors individually and hope they weigh in. Flyer22 (talk) 18:37, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Invitation to take part in a pilot study

I am a Wikipedian, who is studying the phenomenon on Wikipedia. I need your help to conduct my research on about understanding "Motivation of Wikipedia contributors." I would like to invite you to a short survey. Please give me your valuable time, which estimates only 5 minutes. cooldenny (talk) 20:04, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Thanks man

Thanks for letting me talk to you, Milahnna guy is just so unreasinable. But I don't get it why is everyone out to get me about Rupert Giles's infobox? I have said that if there is only two things in the infobox then three things won't kill them, so anyway could you please help me talk to Milahnna because I need help with facing him and I talked to Ckatz but he hasn't gotten back to me. So again could you help me with Milahnna? I would really appreciate and I need a friend on Wikipedia not an enemy. Yours truly, 173.72.83.190 (talk) 22:15, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

I somewhat understand

Uh, I see what you're saying and I am a little, I don't know, I have to say fo Giles I think that he should at least have Notable abilities in the infobox because all the other characters have that field so I think since Giles (P.S. I love Giles too so that is something we can agree on) has powers and skills he should at least have that and the affiliations should be expanded like he worked at Sunnydale High School so that is an affiliation and he owned and worked in The Magic Box so that is also an affiliation, Jenny Calender had a big significance at the beginning and even though she died in the second season think back Giles was depressed and even turned to drinking, he was so sad. Anyway tell me what you think about that and then lets talk to Millhanna. Thanks. 173.72.83.190 (talk) 22:48, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

What is wrong with Spike's alias?

Hey, uh, why is Spike's alias? It is not coming up, so could you help me bring it up? That would be great, so write me back.173.72.83.190 (talk) 23:20, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Don't be a moron...

...is not appropriate language to use in response to perfectly reasonable (in my view) edits. Don't do it again. ╟─TreasuryTagCounsellor of State─╢ 16:25, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

I also believe that this edit was unnescary; apart from your edit description of "Too many morons", the fact that "Online is real world information" doesn't mean it should be included on Wikipedia: the fact Melody Pond IS River Song means her name has to be included in the article. 188.221.24.27 (talk) 16:46, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

Final warning

Stop it with the personal attacks already. Seriously. ╟─TreasuryTaginternational waters─╢ 18:36, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Templates

Hi Zythe, what exactly do you mena by this? Yes, it is using British English. However, the template uses American English but this is unseen to viewers of the mainpage. Don't break the template. How does changing it from season to series break the template exactly? Regards, Mythical Curse (talk) 17:49, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Sorry for the late reply but I understand what you mean now. Thanks for the help :). Mythical Curse (talk) 15:36, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

The Poor Kid

Hi. Yes, reviews cover that material, but the Lead is supposed to be a summary of an article's most salient points. Mentioning the things being satirized by a given episode is certainly reasonable, and there is no justification for mentioning Pabst and Penn State, but not mentioning agnosticism, and making this observation is certainly not original research. I do think, however, that insisting on such the strict, narrow explanation of the satire that you insist on does. Is their take on agnosticism part of their overall attitude on the show toward all forms of absolutism and dogmatism? Sure. But this is arguably true of all the episodes in which they mock religion. Should we remove mention of Mormonism from the Lead of "All About Mormons", Scientology from the Lead of "Trapped in the Closet (South Park)" and atheism from the Lead of "Go God Go"? Agnosticism is mentioned prominently in the episode, and as you mentioned, in the reviews, but religious dogmatism or fundamentalism is not. Omitting mention of agnosticism, therefore really isn't justifiable, nor is defining the episode's satire via our evaluative analysis of it. (Even though we're talking about the Lead and not the plot summary, I think the final paragraph of WP:TVPLOT does apply here by way of principle). Nightscream (talk) 05:18, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

Ben Templesmith, again

I apologize for asking, but can you offer your opinion on the latest round of the Ben Templesmith Photo Saga? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 00:32, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

Rose Tyler

I'm aware that as an editor you have a consistent record of improving WP:WHO articles. If you're around would you fancy having a look at Rose Tyler? Myself and another editor have had a shot at expanding the real-world sections and making it more appropriate for wikipedia, drawing initially on other articles. An additional viewpoint and any notes would be very useful. Cheers Eshlare (talk) 19:58, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

Zythe, what do you make of what is stated in this discussion? You and Paul will eventually get to these articles, I take it. Flyer22 (talk) 11:08, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

WP Doctor Who in the Signpost

The WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject Doctor Who for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. -Mabeenot (talk) 06:37, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

DACB

Hi Zythe, I'm just wondering if we can have a quick discussion about the DAC Beachcroft page and the updates made to it. I'm new to wikipedia and any pointers you could offer would be greatly received. I'm not quite sure where I went wrong when updating the page, I noticed that much of the data currently showing on the page is out of date so decided to almost start afresh. I based the changes on 5 other law firm pages, Cliford Chance, Linklaters, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hogan Lovells and Eversheds, incorporating all the different sections from these sites into one page. I researched much of the data from the DACB website and supporting legal press and thought I had kept it to just facts. Please can you let me know which parts you took excpetion too and I'll see what I can do to change these? Thanks ChrBarrett (talk) 10:29, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Removing family from some Glee character infoboxes

Zythe, I wanted to let you know that I'll be reversing your edits to all five of the Glee character articles, where you removed the "family" parameter from the infobox earlier today. It seems arbitrary—these family members have appeared in storylines that have affected the characters, sometimes very significantly. I don't agree with your reasoning. RIVER SONG WIKI PAGE

I didn't get the name "Mels" from the Tardis Wikia page. I got the link from the actual BBC Doctor Who website. Next time click on the link and read it.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Angel (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Byrne (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
