Solicitation for Help

[edit]

I consider myself a subject matter expert and the information is factual to the best of my understanding. I see this article does not warrant a section regarding security, so that can be removed or merged into the general description paragraph. Should this article be merged into a broader article about the parent company? Should I solicit someone to do this for me? How do I go about receiving third-party verification? Please advise.

Wikipedia doesn't like articles for products based only in information provided by the product creator. For this article to survive, you should bring references to high-profile sources that cover your work and which are not related to you (coverage in prominent blogs, magazines, enterprise proffesional symposiums)... If those sources don't exist, the article will probably get deleted for not being able to prove its notability. Diego (talk) 23:19, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I will attempt to address your issue of not having sufficient third party sources of information by soliciting peer review. In doing so, we should soon be able to assess whether other subject matter experts agree or disagree with my assertion of notability. It is my opinion that the product is notable because it is one of the first End User Development tools designed to assist in analytical problem solving that does not derive directly from the spreadsheet. The product doesn't seem to be notable at all as Google doesn't return anything for it. Notability is established through reliable third party published sources. Laurent (talk) 12:30, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It is my intent to have ZxApp IT reviewed by software review services such as Tucows. A release is being developed in consideration of the guidelines offered by Tucows. The release is code named "Twin Bovine"... c'mon, thats funny. Ktpenrose (talk) 13:39, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please Delete This Article

[edit]

Wikipedia is one of the few resources on the web that I personally find useful. Since I use it to identify and compare products and services, I wanted to provide the comparisons for my own product. I'm disappointed to be omitted from a resource I find personally valuable, but I can't argue with the hard work and results of the Wikipedia volunteers. This is why I respectfully accept deletion of the article as the appropriate action. Ktpenrose (talk) 23:57, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your efforts but we indeed can't keep the article if notability is not established. Once the app becomes more notable feel free to put back the article with sources. In the meantime, I would suggest you to userfy it so that you don't lose anything if the article gets deleted. Laurent (talk) 14:21, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Laurent. I attempted to userfy this article per your suggestion. I am uncertain whether or not I have done this correctly at this point. But thank you for all of your help (and everybody involved.. Thanks Diego!). This has been a learning experience Ktpenrose (talk) 16:53, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
