Mexican municipalities
[edit]Hi. I noticed you have been starting articles on Veracruz. This is what I have been doing for sometime on here and am currently working through Oaxaca. One thing. Can you please follow my example of San Lorenzo Cuaunecuiltitla for instance and try to add an infobox )including population and area given on the enciclopedia de mexico website? It will save me effort later then in adding infoboxes to your articles. If you study how the box works where you enter coordinates, population and area etc you shouldn't have any problems in doing so. Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:24, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Please see Tlilapan now. Also note there is a bad translation by the use of your word "delimited". PLease say something like "The municipality is bordered by not delimited by. SO please use the word "bordered" not delimited.Thanks. Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:30, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Two more things. Can you add a Category:Cities, towns and villages in Veracruz to the articles and place {{Veracruz-geo-stub}} before the Veracruz template? If you could also go through the articles you've created to date and add the infobox and these categories this will make things a lot easier when I come around to Veracruz. Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:01, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
P.S you can speak to me! I won't bite! Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:02, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
See Villa Aldama now. Just call it "geography" not "geographical limits". Also potato is spelt without an e on the end. If you have more than one potato then you refer to them as potatoes!. Patatas! Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:08, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Bienvenidos! Muchas gracias! No quiero picar! lol. Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:17, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Villa Aldama eh? An english lesson: You have written: In Villa Aldama , in july takes place the celebration in honor to Santiago Apostol, Patron of the town, and in december takes place the celebration in honor of Virgen de Guadalupe. If you could reword it as something like: Every July, a festival is held to celebrate Santiago Apostol, patron of the town and in December there is a festival held in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe. OK? Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:21, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Common is the mistranslation of the word "de" which can mean to and of. In this occasion the word "of" is used rather than "to". Sì? Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:22, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
See here. Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:27, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Muy bien! What we need is several hundred Mexicans who speak english well on here to give Mexico the coverage (and quality coverage) that it deserves. The other day I started all 570 municipalities of Oaxaca which were all missing! I created the templates at Wikipedia:WikiProject Mexico/State templates and I have been working through them all. I sure need help! Also if you know of any source or have access to maps/knowledge about the highways of Mexico I would appreciate if you could expand any of the following articles:
I started them all but I haven't found a good source to expand them. Dr. Blofeld White cat 18:36, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
De nada amigo. Also we use the term "Climate" ="clima" on here rather than "Weather" so if you could change the header to Climate rather than weather this would be good. Also be careful with saying the weather is "very cold". It may be very cool by Mexican standards but compared to somewhere like Nuuk is still fairly warm!!
