List of postcolonial books moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, List of postcolonial books, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). This submission reads more like an essay than an encyclopedia article. Submissions should summarise information in secondary, reliable sources and not contain opinions or original research. Please write about the topic from a neutral point of view in an encyclopedic manner.

More exactly: This is a very worthy endeavor, but there are some problems.

There are two possibilities for a list: it ccan include all notable postcolonial books, where notability is defined by having a wikipedia article about them--there are a great many such books, and the will need to be divided by language, country, date, and possibly other criteria, and it will need to meet the objection of whether categories would not be better, or it can be a selected list according to some definite criterion--not just inclusion in one or another of a great many discussions of postcolonial literature, but some standard that can be specified.

As a start, you would do much better to make this a list of postcolonial novels. The nonfiction could be better separated into an article called, perhaps "Bibliography of postcolonialism". And there are other forms of books also: drama, filmscript, poetry.

Please see WP:NLIST for a start at making sense of our rather complex and somewhat self-contradictory guidelines. Whatever you do here, there are likely to be objections both about what is included, and what is omitted. If you need help, ask me on my user talk page.
