User talk:Zocky/2003
I have been told many times here at Wikipedia at use of honorific titles should not be used in the actual links, though I have no problem in making the honorific name highlighted. It is well settled that this is also the convention for saints see Talk:List of saints. I am making the link Cyril, Apostle to the Slavs and adding it to the list of saints as well as for Methodius (who already has a link to his name without the appellation of sainthood. Perhaps you know if any other Christian denomination recognizes them as saints, you can add that information. Have a nice day. Alex756 18:34 19 May 2003 (UTC)
Zocky, do nadaljnega sem zaradi tvojih argumentov postavil članek Timeline of Slovene history na seznam NPOV dispute člankov. Lep pozdrav. --XJamRastafire 09:54 28 May 2003 (UTC)
- Yes, Zocky thank you anyway for your fruitful comments nevertheless you do not have much time. And as time permits me I am doing my best to make Timeline of Slovene histoy (and others) a decent article. Recently I've changed Mic's corrections regarding Styria and Carinthia. As we all know these are very sensitive topics for Slovenes, so I had to act. I can't allow that two -- perhaps full original terms (specially Carinthia) can be used in an unproper ways irrespective if they are federal Austrian states nowadays. Slovenes arise from Carinthia suchlike or different. --XJamRastafire 19:58 29 May 2003 (UTC)
I presume that the Adrienne Clarkson person has now got a user name and is here flickharrison Secretlondon 22:26, Dec 11, 2003 (UTC)
I tried to do a similar table for Auvergne, but something went wrong. Can you take a look at it? Danny 03:57, 14 Dec 2003 (UTC)
Regarding Flag of Croatia -- there was actually a variant of the flag that had a coat of arms with sheafs, wheat, sea and whatnot. I'm pretty sure that each republic had one like that. Addmittedly, this was probably just used on special occasions or on special flags, but it could still be mentioned somewhere. Perhaps in the coat of arms page(s)? --Shallot 12:14, 14 Dec 2003 (UTC)
Ah, I found it. Googled for 'grb socijalističke republike hrvatske' :) http://miyeonjan.tripod.com/croatia_flags_c10.html Also at http://zeljko-heimer-fame.from.hr/descr/yu-sfrjr.html I guess it definitely should go to the coat of arms page. --Shallot 12:47, 14 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Wow, that was fast (Die Fledermaus)! Thanks a lot! --KF 17:44, 19 Dec 2003 (UTC)
On Zdob si Zdub, "last few years" is because the only work of theirs I've actually heard is "Agroromantica", but I gather from their web site that their earlier sound (and from a song or two I've heard them do live)) is closer to hardcore punk. I don't really know when they made the transition. If you can clarify, great. I can't. Jmabel 18:05, 19 Dec 2003 (UTC)
- It's not about clarity. It's just that when somebody reads that article in a couple of years "The last few" years won't mean what you want them to. Zocky 18:59, 19 Dec 2003 (UTC)
- Agreed. Hopefully by then someone will have edited it appropriately. Much the same problem exists with biographies of almost all living people ("is married, has n children). Britannica has the same problem. Jmabel 21:56, 19 Dec 2003 (UTC)
Hi Zocky, I've moved the discussion of your table idea to User talk:Zocky/Table syntax as I was tidying the village pump. You may want to move it to Meta instead as it's not likely to gain much attention in your user namespace. Maybe you could add it to the m:Wiki markup tables page, or start a new page for it. I think you'd be more likely to attract the right sort of people to discuss it there, but I'll leave it up to you. Angela. 02:04, 20 Dec 2003 (UTC)
