Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edits you made to List of countries by number of troops has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Led Zeppelin, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. -Fnlayson (talk) 14:15, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, as you did at Summer Sanitarium Tour 2003, you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. Attempting to unilaterally overturn a deletion decision reached by consensus after a discussion, by simply ignoring the decision and repeatedly recreating the article, is unhelpful. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your edits to Guns N' Roses and Metallica concert tours

[edit]

You keep making changes to the concert tour articles without edit summaries and since they have been reverted, you need to explain why you these changes here instead of continually reverting back to your preferred version. Guns N' Roses/Metallica Stadium Tour is listed as Guns N' Roses and then Metallica so the information should be listed in this order and not in the other way around just because one likes Metallica. Also flagicons are not used in concert articles per WP:ICONDECORATION and the country names should be listed in their own column. Aspects (talk) 17:58, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Red Dawn (2012 film). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Your recent editing history at Red Dawn (2012 film) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Frontlines: Fuel of War, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Your approach to Wikipedia

[edit]

Hi Zmaher, you were recently reported to WP:AIV, and I had a look at your edits. Overall, I'm very concerned about your approach to Wikipedia. There are several areas in which you need to improve:

  • You need to work with other editors to establish consensus.
  • You cannot just edit war without discussion. At the moment you are reverting consensus without any talk page posting, or even meaningful edit summary - this cannot continue.
  • Sourcing - you are changing information without including sources, or explaining why you are making the change.

If these problems continue, then I will block your account for disruptive editing. PhilKnight (talk) 13:58, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Zmaher I am also concerned about your editing. Specifically:

  • This edit to Frontlines: Fuel of War copies verbatim text found here at planetfrontlines.gamespy.com, which appears to be copyrighted, notice at the bottom says "Copyright 1996-2011, IGN Entertainment, Inc." You made similar edits previously [1]. You many not copy-and-paste copyrighted material into Wikipedia articles, see WP:COPYRIGHT.
  • This edit to Red Dawn (2012 film) copies verbatim text found here, which appears to be copyrighted, notice at the bottom says "All submitted spoilers are copyright © TheMovieSpoiler.com". You edit-warred to get this into the article previously [2] [3] [4] plus many others previous to that.
  • Many of your edits to Russia–United States relations look construcive but add content without citing reliable sourcing. Reliable secondary sourcing is required for verifiability and to demonstrate that the material meets Wikipedia's policy regarding due and undue weight.
  • I have not found any edits where you communicate with other Wikipedia editors, or use an edit summary. Wikipedia is fundamentally a collaborative project and if other editors need to work out concerns with you, you need to engage in discussion. Collaborative communication is not optional.

Continued problems in even just one of these areas can result in a block on your account. Please consider this message and the one from PhilKnight final warnings. Zad68 14:39, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please use sources

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for persistent unhelpful editing. You have received numerous messages about problems with your editing, over a period of nearly three years, but you have never once responded to a message, nor shown any sign of taking any notice of messages. Wikipedia works by cooperation among editors, not by each one of us doing things our own way and ignoring what everybody else thinks and does. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 16:07, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is most unfortunate, but there seems to be no way of communicating with you. You continue to ignore messages on this talk page, you have made no response to reports about your editing at administrators' notice boards (of which there have been at least four, over the course of eight months), and even when you have been blocked from editing, you have not responded. You have never once made any attempt to explain your editing in any way, whether in edit summaries, on talk pages, or anywhere else. However, you have continued with the same problems in your editing that have repeatedly been mentioned. Since the last block on this account expired, you have made only four edits, but those four included changing genre information without explanation (which you have been warned about before), adding huge amounts of trivial listing to an article, adding substantial contents without providing a source, adding content copied verbatim from another source in violation of copyright, and removing an "Articles for deletion" notice from an article while the deletion was in progress. You have again been blocked from editing, this time for a month. In the notice about the previous block there are instructions on how to request an unblock. I really hope you will request an unblock, and in doing so indicate that from now on you will take notice of what other editors say to you. You do a lot of useful work, and nobody wants to lose that, but unfortunately if you will not take notice of attempts to explain what the problems with your editing are, there is no way of stopping those problems except by blocking you.
