Radu Lupu
[edit]A quick note from me before that beastly bot barges in: congrats on a fine and enjoyable article. It was a pleasure to review, and is a worthy GA. Tim riley talk 07:18, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
- Dear Tim riley, Thank you so much again for your time and help, I appreciate it immensely —Zingarese talk · contribs 15:26, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
- A genuine pleasure. Mind you let me know when you take the article to PR en route to FAC and I'll make certain to look in. Tim riley talk 15:33, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
The article Radu Lupu you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Radu Lupu for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. Thank you for that pianist! And you improvement of the other on the Main page. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:03, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
Tough to find a one-line DYK. Any suggestions. I'm not too lucky, see? The greater a person is, the harder. A most unusual feat (six Janáček operas as a cycle!) is not "intriguing" for the general reader, we have to look for something that mentions Nazi, - sigh. How about going tor FA, - more room there ;) - I am happy to sing the motet of serene and fervent longing tonight. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:12, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
- Dear Gerda, of course I just took a look at the DYKN for Herlischka, and to put it bluntly, any view that the original hook vis-a-vis his staging a cycle of Janacek operas in the Rhine— and thus introducing this great music to Western European audiences—is not interesting to readers is nonsense, sorry. Surely, many people who are interested about opera at all will be very intrigued by this fact. I will be happy to chime in about this soon, because I completely disagree with the reviewer‘s view. Regarding the Prema sridevi articles CSD
[edit]I am the one who wrongly nominated the article for CSD.Now that you have explained the claim of significance part,i'll nominate it for AFD , I have a few doubts though, I would like to know what's the best Approach for them
- 1. Is being a journalist for a notable organization enough for a credible claim of significance?
- 2. Although the article creator has declared not-UPE, his message for contested deletion says "My only attempt was to help an honest journalist reach out better to the general public,". To be honest, she seems to be a well to do journalist who held high positions in many top media houses, and seems to be on her way to set up her own media house(article says so, but strangely I dont find any source on the Internet mentioning that, prema's tweeted a few weeks ago that she would let us know her future plans but never revealed her setting up a company). I believe this article's timing and the amount of uncited and own research is indicative of paid editing. I want this too be looked upon without the creator being informed as he seems to be having lots of experience and few suspected UPE articles. Is Wikipedia COIN the only place for such a discussion? can I post there without intimating the user? Daiyusha (talk) 17:37, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
- Dear Daiyusha, Thanks for your message. 1) Absolutely. No question about it. But there are other claims of significance in the article besides that. 2) If you take the user to COIN, you must notify them. Theres no way around it. Another option is to email private evidence to paid-en-wp@wikipedia.org , but only in very, very serious cases. Zingarese talk · contribs 05:10, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
