Image copyright problem with Image:Belgium_flag_medium.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Belgium_flag_medium.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags.
Image Tagging Image:Michelangelo zgyorfi.jpg
[edit]This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Michelangelo zgyorfi.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 82.83.96.38 12:38, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Re: CT
[edit]Zgyorfi, I saw your comments at Talk:Computed tomography#Removing my beautiful art / the author's response and I see that you had some confusion over some Wikipedia policies. The quality of the image or whether or not we like your art isn't really relevant. I know you said that you cannot accept the lack of references as reason for the section's removal but that is Wikipedia's policy, and you must accept it if you wish to contribute here. Put simply, one should not insert his own ideas, commentary, theories, and so on into Wikipedia. Rather, we should report on information published elsewhere. If there are other sources which discuss CT's role in art, or you can find published works of art, then these may be included. But if they're just your own ideas, then they don't belong in Wikipedia until they become notable enough for other sources to discuss them. Ideally, everything in Wikipedia should be well-referenced. Does this help? — Knowledge Seeker দ 01:54, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Flames
[edit]In the talk page for the article on the speed of light you added a section on "shame" and then had some very negative things to say about me.
I think you do not need to start a fight about my math ability or comprehension. You have written angrily and contemptuously. I wonder why that approach is appealing to you. You tell me what I want. Actually, what you should be interested in is what the article tries to compute and explain.
I do not think we need to deal in accusations of my presumed shameful incapacity to do mathematics. It is generally unhelpful on the Wikipedia to get into emotional confrontations, and a good way to get into such confrontations is to use emotionally loaded words.
You started out changing the equation, one that is found in standard textbooks, by changing the plus signs to minus signs, implying I guess that the author had copied it incorrectly. Maybe you thought that the physics textbooks had it wrong? That seems unlikely. I restored the equation and explained in the discussion page that the equation is context-sensitive. An article on the speed of light is not the place to go into a long explanation of how the equation has to be understood correctly and applied appropriately, but I have added a brief note to at least clue the reader in to the fact that the citation form of the formula given above in the text will not work unless the signs are adjusted to fit the circumstances. Motion picture rating system

Speedy deletion nomination of Galway College of Chiropractic
[edit]A tag has been placed on Galway College of Chiropractic requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File source problem with File:Venesreconstruction.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Venesreconstruction.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:07, 12 February 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 22:07, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Zgyorfi. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Zgyorfi~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell

The file File:Triangulum.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
