Actually, I hate to be nitpicky, but I think there may be some confusion with the DIC_example.png image. There are a couple of things that aren't consistant with what I know about light. Please correct me where I am wrong.
In the image towards the middle of the screen, you display a number of different light waves passing through the cube. However the light waves in your drawing don't behave the way I would have expected. First of all, in any given medium the wavelength of the light waves should all be the same (assuming they all started the same as you have drawn them). So, for example when the waves leave the speciman/slide they should all have the same wavelength, but the wave on the far right does not. Following the same logic the waves inside the coverslide all should have the same wavelength as well.
There may be some confusion with phase. The waves that emerge from the coverslide should have a different PHASE based on the length of the optical path the traversed. The phase of the waves that emerges from the coverslip however are all drawn the same.
Theres a chance I could be missing something here, but I thought I should point this out just in case. Good luck. --Kramer 02:20, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Linear_DNA_Supercoiling.png
[edit]Hello, I just wanted to inform you that I changed the image Linear_DNA_Supercoiling.png, following the note on that image on DNA_supercoil. (Wrong number of turns.) I assumed that changing the image and reposting it under the original name would be OK. If not, please contact me again. --Rubik's Cube (talk) 23:59, 13 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding comment was added at 23:52, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Lipid phase renditions
[edit]Hey, i came across your illustrations on the ATP synthase and SDH, with renderings of the lipid phase included - just wondering how you've done those? is it simply a tenacious bit of modelling or is there a template to use somewhere? It looks pretty awesome :) Silasmellor (talk) 16:03, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
