Wikipedia's Got No Soul!
[edit]Having looked at Soul(disambiguation), I notice that there's no entry for the notion of soul popularised by the african-american culture. That of soul being an attitude, or function of a person's personality. Similar in many ways to 'cool', only soul is something that someone 'has' rather than something a person 'is'.
The notion of soul is somewhat of an ineffable one - if you don't know what it is, nobody can tell you, and if somebody else has it, they cannot give you any - but, it is possible to describe some of the general characteristics that a person may have, assuming that they are in posession of this particular attribute.
Soulful Characteristics
[edit]A person with soul will tend to be honest, truthful, and of the highest integrity. The power of soul imbues a person with the strength to maintain an upright approach to all things in life. Soul in this context is comparable in some ways with notions of personal enlightenment as described in some non-European religions.
