Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Palm Pre. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. user:J aka justen (talk) 22:47, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
I am trying to add informational articles for the Palm Pre, I believe those links are very helpful for people who own or are thinking about getting the Palm Pre. What is wrong with sharing wealth of great DIY articles? Or tell me another page I can put this on such as "Palm Pre Hacks". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zedomax (talk • contribs) 23:28, 22 August 2009
- I agree that your links are very interesting, however Wikipedia is not a directory of links. You should consider submitting your website to DMOZ or other directories of online content. Please understand that preventing the proliferation of links is an important Wikipedia policy and that you should not continue to add the link whenever another editor removes it. Feel free to ask any questions you may have here, and I'll be happy to answer. user:J aka justen (talk) 23:48, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Okay cool, thanks for the reply. I thought some random user removed it, that's why I try to put it back on.
