Speedy deletion nomination of Homosexual Compound
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Homosexual Compound requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. KTo288 (talk) 09:52, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
General advice
[edit]I need to give you some basic advice, partially for Wikipedia and mostly for the basic Internet.
First off, I deleted the page on Wikipedia because it didn't show how the group passed notability guidelines. Of the sources on the article, only one was actually about the group itself. To show notability you need to have reliable sources that are independent of the group itself that discuss the group. Sources that discuss similar topics will not show notability. I couldn't find anything that would really show how this band meets WP:NBAND, but I did find something else that was very concerning.
I saw that you are trying to add your band to Encyclopedia Dramatica.
If the article gets deleted, DO NOT RE-ADD IT.
Encyclopedia Dramatica is essentially a trolling website. It does have some other purposes, but essentially it's a catch all for any trolling activities on the Internet. For example, the website archived information on the trolling of Christian Weston Chandler (aka Chris-Chan). Just google his name and you'll see what site users are capable of. Read the article on ED here on Wikipedia as well.
Basically right now all you can do is hope that the page is deleted as spam on ED and that you don't gain any attention. Please don't edit any further on that site, as trying to add more and/or trying to remove information will just gain more attention. Now if you do gain their attention and they start trolling you, the only way you can fight back is by doing nothing and essentially dropping off of the Internet. Do not respond to their provocations. You can't win and what they want is for you to react and keep feeding the lulz.
Not every Encyclopedia out there on the Internet is something that you want to be a part of. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:28, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:Zazier. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:35, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
