Hi, Yura. I noticed that you have started an article about Brigitte Vallée, and that nobody else has said hello yet, so I decided to say hi. Can you add some additional references to the article? DavidCBryant 11:24, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Bryant:

Actually, the article on Brigitte Vallée is just a stub.

Google shows hundreds of references on her scientific papers. Three Wikipedia articles refer to her publications as well. Good enough reason to create a short article, in my mind. However, I know nothing about Prof. Vallée personally except that I read some of her articles and see that she is a serious mathematician. So I just started a stub.

As you can see from the edit history [1], Ocatecir proposed to delete the stub exactly fifteen minutes after it was created. The reason: "needs sources to show N". In other words, references to the original papers of Prof. Vallée do not support, according to User:Ocatecir, my statement that she is a specialist in number theory and algorithm analysis.

You may check that Ocatecir authored 17 articles and contributed to 10 more. Judging by the subject of his articles, they must be several orders of magnitude more valuable than my contributions to Wikipedia in the sense of popularity. He also will graduate soon from an American university, while I was reared in a different culture. So he must know better than I what deserve to be here.

Any case, I have no other information on Prof. Vallée than few of her mathematical papers that I read, multiple references to her other papers, and her university webpage. She is also in the list of number theorists, but the list just points to their personal webpages.

If the short stub will be deleted, it will not be a big loss. Just three broken links in Wikipedia, that is it. People can find everything on Google any case.
