Starting a Wikiproject
[edit]Dear Yulemorelli: Here is information about the process of starting a Wikiproject: Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals and Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide.
Improving articles about notable items in the Frick collections is a worthwhile goal. As a person who works for the organization, you will have to be very careful not to use this Wikiproject to promote the organization itself, because this is against Wikipedia policy as a conflict of interest.
Notice that a Wikiproject is a group of people, so you need to gather some other interested editors before you create the project, and then there is a specific process described in the articles above.
In the meantime, I recommend keeping the material you have gathered on a page in your user space, and use it to organize your own work. You'll have to remove the word "Wikiproject" from the title to save confusion. I will be glad to help you move it there if you want me to. — Anne Delong (talk) 19:21, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your feedback Anne, I have added the other participants and published the page as an project page! — Yulemorelli (talk) 21:19, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- Having worked out a better place for your WikiProject page, it would have been a good idea for you to go back and request deletion of your false start. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:58, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, if I make a mistake in the future, how would I request deletion of an article that was denied creation? — Yulemorelli (talk) 23:37, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- There is a bewildering canon of speedy deletion tags but all you need to remember is the basic {{db}} tag. Just enter
{{db|reason for deletion}}
and providing your reason is reasonable, the page will get deleted. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:54, 25 October 2013 (UTC) - Ok, thank you!Yulemorelli (talk) 14:17, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Barometer Clock
[edit]Just a small quibble: if your subject is called "X", and there's no other article on the page titled "X", you don't need to add further identification in parentheses. Accordingly, I've moved the page you created, Barometer Clock (Boulle), to Barometer Clock. Otherwise, it looks like a solid new article. Keep up the good work! —Swpbtalk 21:02, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
