Contact information and articles

[edit]

Hi! I've deleted the information and the various contact information that you've posted on your user page. I thought I'd explain why I've done both of these things.

First, the article. While I think that it's awesome that you've written a book with your friend (and several others), unfortunately I can't see where the books have received any sort of coverage in independent and reliable sources like reviews in websites like Publishers Weekly or newspapers. We'd need these in order to establish that your series passes WP:NBOOK. What I can recommend is that you instead look into joining a kid friendly writing group or starting one in your area - I'm sure that one of your teachers would love to help out with this!

Secondly, I've removed the contact information because a quick look shows that you're fairly young. I want to caution you about putting out a lot of information about yourself on the Internet. Many people on the Internet are good and wouldn't harm anyone, but there are people who would cause you harm simply because they can and they don't think that they'd be caught. For example, a quick look at your Twitter account not only gave me your name, but also the name of where you lived. I didn't look long enough to see if you posted where you attended school, but the problem is that if someone genuinely wanted to harm you, they could easily find this information out. I don't mean to scare you or to make you think that the Internet is full of bad people, but I would really, really recommend that you not give out personally revealing information like this. Rather than giving out your name and hometown, I'd instead recommend that you come up with a nickname or a name that yourself and your parents come up with that's obviously fake (like Dick Grayson) - this is what my sister did with my eldest nephew when he opened up a Facebook account. There's more information about this on Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. Please be very careful about this! Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:20, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Using Wikipedia as a webhost

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia.
While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a free webhosting service. Wikipedia is not a place to post personal content, host personal websites, or do things that are not directly related to adding to or improving the encyclopedia. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. This message is not meant to discourage you from editing Wikipedia but rather to remind you that the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Thank you.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:43, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Deep Adventures (Book Series), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 2602:306:3357:BA0:786C:B129:D14F:7CE3 (talk) 00:17, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising again, as you did at Deep Adventures (Book Series), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Ethanlu121 (talk) 00:24, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ethanlu121, I see you have criticized this user's hard work of making the articles they have made and edited. By doing this you are what is known as a cyber bully. This is not nice to people and can hurt people's feelings. I recommend that you apologize to this user. Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Youtube0117, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for using Wikipedia to promote your own personal projects. I understand that you are young and may not understand yet how Wikipedia works, but you cannot continue to use Wikipedia to bring attention to your e-novels that, although important to you, simply do not meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for inclusion. Creating additional accounts to try to sway others to support you is also disallowed by policy. The block length is indefinite, that is you are blocked until you are able to demonstrate to an administrator that you understand why you are blocked and explain how you will change your behaviour to prevent further disruption. Hopefully, with time, you will come to understand the purpose of Wikipedia and will be able to rejoin us as capable contributor. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:50, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
